Why see a naturopathic nutritional therapist?

Working out where to start in regards to your health can be a minefield, be it for maximising energy levels or managing a chronic condition.

That's why at the clinic we take the time to go through all your medical background from birth, including your family medical history, then methodically work through each body system, asking questions until we have a full picture of what's happening and where the root cause lies - rather than treating and suppressing symptoms.

My approach is a collaborative one and your personal goals will shape the consultation and plan. I can help you break up complex nutritional goals into smaller, manageable pieces and give you the knowledge and motivation to take back control of your health.

How do we work?

At the clinic, we specialise in getting the gut working at its very best, as it can impact so many different things from depression to hormonal imbalances to weight issues.  There is no quick fix, the aim is to help you make realistic lifelong changes to your health. You will receive a bespoke dietary, lifestyle and health plan, menu ideas and recipes and full email support.

What about testing?

We will always discuss with you the reasons behind any tests advised but they are optional and we are able to work without testing.  That being said,  it can speed the process up and give added understanding to why you feel as you do.  I also offer genetic testing and analysis which takes your nutrition to the next level and enables a preventative and truly personalised approach to your health.

What can we support?

Autoimmunity, allergies, all types of gut imbalances; bloating, IBS etc  management, anxiety, behavioural issues, chronic fatigue, degenerative diseases,  disease prevention and optimising health, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, heavy metal cleansing, joint aches and pains, low mood, metabolic conditions (type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome), skin issues, sleep issues, stress management, parasite cleansing, thyroid health, weakened immunity, woman's health and hormonal imbalances (PCOS, menopause, PMS, fibroids, endometriosis).

Are you registered with a professional body?

I am a member of The British Association for Nutrition and lifestyle medicine (BANT) which is the largest professional body for Nutritional Therapy. BANT is regarded as the professional association that represents the seal of excellence for nutritional health professionals and is recognised for Nutritional Therapy by the voluntary regulator, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) with which I am registered.

How many appointments will i need?

As everyone is different, we will discuss a plan depending on what you want to achieve at the initial appointment. Typically, we would see you for a follow up 4-6 weeks later.

Supporting health challenges takes time, dedication and commitment - the aim is always to educate and empower.

Can you diagnose conditions?

No, I am not a medical doctor.  My nutritional support is complementary to what your medical team does, not instead of.

Do you work with children?

Yes,  at a reduced rate. Please contact us for further information

Choosing to work with a nutritionist is a big decision, that's why we offer a free 15 minute discovery call to help decide if we can work together and discuss aims and expected outcomes.
